So soulful, So groovy, So funky, Pamela Knight is a real American Soul Diva. Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised just a few blocks from the legendary funk masters, the Rootz. Knight is the daughter of noted Jazz musician Cullen Knight Jr. who lit the fire, fueled by Hip hop, tested by vocals like Mary J. Blige, and refined by the legendary Sound of Philadelphia. .As a young girl Pamela would listen to neighborhood bands battle it out at block parties knowing one day her turn would come. Her band TABU ( taking all bands under) formed in the late 90's proved to be a game changer in the Philly music scene dominated by men. As their name implied TABU took a major stab at taking all bands under. A successful local band recognized nationally and internationally. While on tour in Berlin Germany she was approached by producers Florian Richter and Marc Lennard to record a couple songs. These songs would lead to a recording contract with Universal Music at Polydor/Zeitgeist as the lead singer of the band Spike. Pamela's dynamically sexy vocals unleashed a new era on dance floors. Millions of record sales, tours, and chart busting hits was just as she had dreamed. Her vision to make good music with great vocals had been realized. After the break up of Spike, Pam moved to acting where she had done numerous cameos. Her big break came when she was cast in a lead role opposite Germany's most loved Comedian, Hape Kerkeling in the film Samba in Mettman. The film was a major success, but Pamela was still in love with music. Her search for the right producers with the right sound took many years. During those years she concentrated on writing songs that reflected her experiences in love and found that live music is her truest passion. Her latest cd entitled BEAUTIFULLY FEARLESS was recorded live in Casablanca, Morocco and will be released March 2014.The music is true to Pamela Knight powerful, intelligent, funny, dynamic, spiritual, soulful, natural and BEAUTIFULLY FEARLESS !
